1. What information we collect
Information you give us
We collect information you provide when you request a quote, book a service, call, text or email us, leave a review, or apply for a job. This may include:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your service address and, if different, your mailing or billing address
- Service details, such as the type of service you want, the size of your home or building, number of windows or stories, access notes, preferred dates and any photos you send us
- Payment details when you pay for a service. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- The content of your messages with us, including texts, emails and voicemails
We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or health information. Please keep the information you give us accurate so we can reach you at the right address.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting and analytics tools automatically collect limited technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, visit time, and general location (city or region). This does not identify you by name. See Cookies and analytics.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to run a window cleaning business and take care of our customers. Specifically, we use it to:
- Prepare and send you a quote for the services you asked about
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule and perform your service, including arrival reminders
- Communicate with you about your quote, appointment, invoice or questions by phone, text or email
- Process payments and send receipts
- Follow up after a service, ask for a review if you agree, and remind you when you may be due for a seasonal cleaning. You can opt out at any time.
- Keep a record of the work done at your property so repeat visits go smoothly
- Prevent fraud, resolve disputes and comply with tax, accounting, insurance and other legal obligations
- Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.
3. Text messages (SMS) and consent
When you provide your phone number on our quote form, by phone, or in a message to us, you agree to receive text messages from Fontenelle Window Cleaning at that number. These texts may include your quote, questions we need to price the job, appointment confirmations and reminders, invoices and payment links, follow-ups after the visit, and occasional service reminders or offers.
- Message frequency varies based on your quote and service activity.
- Message and data rates may apply according to your carrier plan.
- To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message from us. You may receive one confirmation text. We will not send further marketing texts after you opt out, though we may still need to text you about a service you already booked.
- For help, reply HELP, call (402) 224-6814 or email wr@fontenellewindowcleaning.com.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying any service. If you prefer, we will reach you by phone or email instead. Phone numbers and text opt-in information are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
4. When we share your information
We share personal information only when needed to deliver our Services or run our business:
- Service providers. Vendors that help us operate, such as our customer relationship management (CRM) system, scheduling software, text messaging and phone providers, email providers, payment processors, website hosting and analytics providers, and accounting tools. They may use your information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
- Our crew. Technicians who perform your service receive your name, address, phone number and job details so they can complete the work.
- Legal and professional needs. Accountants, insurers, attorneys, courts or government agencies when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, team or the public.
- Business transfers. A buyer or successor if our business, or part of it, is sold, merged or reorganized. Your information would remain protected under this policy.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies to function and measure traffic. We use a basic analytics tool to count visits, see which pages are popular and learn how people find us (for example, through Google search). Analytics data is aggregated and does not tell us who you are.
If our site uses Google Analytics, you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can always call or text us for a quote. Our site links to other websites, such as our Google Business Profile. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information as long as we need it to serve you and run our business. Quote requests that do not become a booking are kept for a reasonable period so we can honor the quote, then deleted or archived. Customer records, service history and invoices are kept while you remain a customer and as long as tax, accounting and insurance rules require, generally up to seven years after the last transaction. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it. If it sits in a backup, we isolate it from further use until it can be removed.
7. How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards, including secure (HTTPS) connections on our website, password-protected vendor accounts, and limiting access to customer data to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Children and minors
Our Services are for adults who own or manage a home or business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons
- Stop marketing texts or emails (reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or just tell us)
- Withdraw consent you previously gave. This does not affect processing that already took place.
To make a request, email wr@fontenellewindowcleaning.com or call (402) 224-6814. We may confirm the phone number or email on file to verify your identity. We will respond within 45 days. If we deny a request, we will explain why.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as California, Colorado, Virginia and Connecticut) may have additional rights, including opting out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising. We do neither, but we will honor any valid request under applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Do-Not-Track signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There is no accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, so our website does not currently respond to them. We do not track you across other websites or serve targeted ads, so this has little practical effect.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services, vendors or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision, and changes take effect when posted here. If we make a material change in how we use your information, we will post a notice on this page or contact you directly.
